History[]
Azrael Jacobs was born an raised in Salvador Brazil. He grew up in a humble home, and never had too much money. this being the case he was often picked on by many children in the community. He often tried to defend himself, but being feeble at the time, he often failed and was pretty badly beaten in the streets on a regular basis. In one particular instance, he was being pinned down by one punk while the other beat him. Even though he'd learned a bit of fighting from his father, he couldn't be in two places at once. At this thought, he saw himself appear behind the bullies. Using his skills and the element of surprise, he easily defeated them.
Not long after, his parents scraped together what money they could to send him off to America to the Xavier institute. While there Az recieved his high school diploma, and completed his training and joined the X-Men under the codename Legion. As part of his training, Az recieved specialized training in Capoeira, Kung Fu, and many other diciplines of martial arts, espionage, guirella warfare, as well as Parkour and Free-Running.
After leaving the Institute, he returned to Brazil and studied in Salvador, earning a degree in Kinesiology and Physical therapy,and even opened a Capoeira dojo in Rio. When contacted to return to the Institute as a teacher, he was more than willing and happy to return to his home. He now resides in the Institute as the school's PE teacher.
Appearance[]
Az is an African Brazilian male. He is 6’3, 210 lbs. He has black hair and grey/blue eyes. He is highly muscular with an athletic build. He described as being attractive.
Powers[]
Is able to create duplicates of himself. He can control these duplicates with his mind but is also capable of giving them free will, allowing him to create more duplicates due to the level of foucs required to maintain them. Since leaving the Institute, Az has all but mastered these abilities.
Weaknesses[]
When one of his duplicates dies, it causes him pain, But when 10 are killed within an hour, he wll fall unconcious
Personality[]
Az generally takes pretty much everything seriously, his job in particular. He is often seen usuing his powers to train. Before coming to the Institute,Az was vastly unmotivated but when he nearly failed to save the life of a mutant he met, Julio , he immediately felt obligated to better himself. Az is very patient and understanding,and is empathetic due to his upbriging
